MNHPC's 2026 Conference has been designed to meet continuing education credit requirements for the disciplines listed below; please note that some regulatory bodies have not approved contact hours for some sessions. It is the responsibility of individual learners to verify that attended sessions will meet the requirements of their licensing or certifying body.
Provider awarding contact hours: Minnesota Network of Hospice & Palliative Care is the provider of contact hours. Minnesota Medical Association is the joint provider.
Description: The goal of the MNHPC 2026 Conference, "Cultivating Connections: A Spring Symposium" is to advance the knowledge of healthcare professionals who provide serious illness and end-of-life services.
This conference is designed for nursing, administration, music therapy, physical therapy, chaplaincy, medicine, occupational therapy, social work, physician assistants, home health care, and volunteers.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and polices of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Minnesota Medical Association and MNHPC. The Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. In addition, this educational activity has been planned and implemented to meet accreditation requirements and standards in accordance with the entities and disciplines listed below. Learners should consult the appropriate disciplinary area below for information about continuing education contact hours for this event.
In order to earn contact hours for this event, regardless of discipline, conference attendees must attend one or more live sessions in their entirety and complete a post-event evaluation.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will self-report a knowledge gain related to:
1. Best practices and innovations in serious illness and end-of-life care.
2. Specific pain and symptom management interventions for patients receiving hospice and/or palliative care.
3. Common emotional and spiritual needs of patients, families, and professionals caring for patients with serious illness and end-of-life.
4. Strategies and practices to address complex family dynamics, grief, bereavement, and trauma at the end-of-life.
5. Ethical challenges related to caring for patients with serious illness or at the end-of-life.
6. Hospice and palliative care regulations, policies, and reimbursement strategies and identify strategies for compliance.
7. Strategies to raise awareness of hospice and palliative care across all Minnesota communities.
Earning Contact Hours
To receive a certificate of completion for credits earned during the MNHPC 2026 Conference, attendees must:

Fully attend each session of the live event for which the attendee is seeking credit.

Complete the post-conference evaluation. A link to the evaluation will be emailed to attendees within 5 business days following the conclusion of the conference.

Certificates of completion will be sent via email.
Social Work
MNHPC is an approved CE provider as designated by the Minnesota Board of Social Work. This conference has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Social Work requirements for Continuing Education activities as designated in Minnesota Statutes section 148E.145 and is eligible for 11.5 clock hours.
Medical/ACCME
The Minnesota Medical Association designates this activity for a maximum of 11.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Minnesota Medical Association and MNHPC. The Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Nursing Contact Hours
This activity has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements. The nurse is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education. Certificates documenting up to 11.5 contact hours will be provided.
Executives for Long Term Services and Supports
This professional development activity has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Executives for Long Term Services and Supports requirements and has been approved for of 11.5 contact hours.
Music Therapy
This professional development activity has been approved to the Certification Board for Music Therapist (CBMT) for 13 music therapy continuing education credits. Minnesota Network of Hospice & Palliative Care, #P-153 maintains responsibility for the program quality and adherence to CBMT policies and criteria. Approval is pending.
